Rachel Sheinbein

Rachel Sheinbein is an experienced venture capitalist, angel investor, and advisor specializing in cleantech and social impact startups. She previously served as a Partner at CMEA Capital, a firm with over $1.2 billion under management, and was a Venture Partner at Gratitude Railroad and Lemnos. Earlier in her career, she spent nine years at Intel working in wastewater and supply chain operations, and later co-founded Makeda Capital to invest in public companies led by female executives. Her portfolio includes angel investments in more than 15 companies, and she has held board positions at Arcadia Biosciences and Solaria. She holds a chemical engineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania, alongside an MBA and an engineering master's degree from MIT. Sheinbein currently focuses on independent investments and advisory roles across the climate, water, and bioplastics sectors.
