R. Martin Roscheisen is the Managing Partner of ROSCHEINEN Ventures, an early-stage climate tech investment firm based in Berlin, Germany. Prior to this role, he founded multiple clean technology companies, most notably serving as CEO of Nanosolar, a thin-film solar manufacturer that raised over $500 million from investors including Kleiner Perkins. As an investor, he has backed more than 50 startups across the sustainability and deep tech sectors, including an early investment in solid-state battery developer Seeo, which was acquired by Bosch. In early 2025, he launched a new climate fund after leading an investment in a European battery recycling startup and speaking at the COP29 climate summit. Drawing on his physics education from the University of Karlsruhe, his current focus remains on scaling early-stage ventures within the circular economy, nanotechnology, and renewable energy.
