Priyanka Gill

Priyanka Gill is the Founder and CEO of Purplle, a beauty e-commerce platform based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Before establishing the company in 2012, she worked in sales and operations at Hindustan Unilever and earned her Master of Arts degree from King's College London. Under her leadership, Purplle achieved a valuation exceeding $1.1 billion in 2021, supported by institutional investors including Sequoia Capital India. The platform has secured over $500 million in funding, accumulated 20 million app downloads, and acquired five brands in 2024 to expand its offline retail presence. As an active venture investor with a portfolio of more than ten startups, she recently participated in the Series D funding round for Sugar Cosmetics. Her current focus centers on scaling digital retail operations and advancing consumer technology within the direct-to-consumer women's beauty sector.
