Prithvi Raj

Prithvi Raj is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Zettascale Computing, an artificial intelligence hardware startup based in San Francisco that recently joined the Y Combinator Summer 2024 batch. His company develops highly efficient reconfigurable chips for artificial intelligence that are designed to be up to twenty-seven point six times more energy-efficient than standard H100 GPUs. Before launching this venture, he spent over three years working as a founding engineer focused on compiler and software development, and he previously completed a software engineering internship at Microsoft. He holds a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Cambridge, where he studied within the Computational Statistics and Machine Learning Laboratory. His multidisciplinary technical background spans mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace, and computer science, with a current focus on advancing computational statistics, generative modeling, and scientific machine learning.
