Premal Shah

Premal Shah is the Chief Executive Officer of MyOme, a genomics company founded in 2017 that focuses on whole genome sequencing for preventive health and diagnostics. Before leading the Sequoia Capital-backed firm, he served as Co-Founder, President, and Chief Operating Officer at Ciitizen, a patient health data platform that was subsequently acquired by Invitae. His earlier executive experience includes tenures as the Chief Executive Officer of Applied Proteomics and in corporate development at Genomic Health, which is now part of Exact Sciences. Shah began his career as a management consultant at Booz Company after earning a Ph.D. in computational biology from the California Institute of Technology. With over 20 years of professional experience in the healthcare sector, his current work centers on utilizing polygenic risk scoring and comprehensive genomic testing to advance personalized medicine.
