Prem Bodagala

Prem Bodagala is the Senior Vice President of Venture and Director of ID Ventures at Invest Detroit, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Previously, he served as a Director at Michigan Rise and Red Cedar Ventures, and as a Portfolio Manager at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. At Michigan Rise and Red Cedar Ventures, Bodagala oversaw two early-stage funds with $40 million in assets under management and a portfolio of over 100 technology startups that collectively raised more than $750 million. He notably conceptualized and launched the Michigan Rise Pre-Seed Fund III in 2020, which backed 34 companies and leveraged over $275 million in follow-on capital. Equipped with an MS from the University of Michigan, Bodagala currently focuses on deploying early-stage venture capital into high-tech startups across the advanced materials, cybersecurity, and medical device sectors.
