Prashant Shukla

Prashant Shukla is a Partner at Origin Ventures based in Chicago, United States. Since joining the firm as a Senior Associate in May 2017, he has served as a Board Observer for multiple portfolio companies, including 15Five, Everee, Pronto, Measured Insurance, and Trala. Before entering venture capital, Shukla was the first product manager at Metromile in 2012, where he helped scale the startup to over 300 employees and secure more than $200 million in venture funding. He began his professional career advising technology, education, telecom, and healthcare clients at Bain & Company. Additionally, he holds an MBA and MPP from the University of Chicago alongside undergraduate degrees from UC Berkeley. Shukla currently focuses his investments on software and technology businesses that demonstrate strong network effects, defensibility, and scalable operating models across the United States.
