Pradeep Bekal

Pradeep Bekal is an angel investor at Angel Physicians Fund and a board-certified gastroenterologist based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since the fund's inception in 2020, he has directed early-stage capital into healthcare and life sciences startups, building a portfolio that includes Foldax, S4 Medical, and Elucid. Bekal previously co-founded the healthcare IT company eMerge Health Solutions and served on the executive committee of the national Digestive Health Physicians Association. He earned his medical degree from Madras Medical College before completing his residency and fellowships at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and Allegheny General Hospital. Alongside his clinical trial research and fellowship with the American College of Gastroenterology, he serves on the board of the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority. His current focus centers on advancing medical devices, diagnostics, and health IT through strategic early-stage investments.
