PK Malhotra

PK Malhotra is an Operating Partner and Investment Committee member at Blu Venture Investors, based in Vienna, Virginia. Since joining the firm in 2020, he has helped manage over $200 million in deployed capital across approximately 80 active early-stage technology companies, including leading a $3.2 million seed investment in cybersecurity startup BreachBits. Previously, Malhotra served as Chief Operating Officer of Optum Government and Chief Financial Officer of Optum International, following UnitedHealth Group's 2012 acquisition of QSSI, where he held dual COO and CFO titles. Earlier in his career, he worked as an equity research analyst covering the financial and technology sectors at Legg Mason, CIBC World Markets, and SG Cowen. His current investment focus centers on seed through Series B funding for software-as-a-service, cybersecurity, and healthcare IT startups operating within the Mid-Atlantic region.
