Piratip Pratumsuwan

Piratip Pratumsuwan is a Managing Director at RTW Investments, where he leads the firm's investment research initiatives across the public, private, and academic sectors. He joined the investment firm directly from academia in 2014 and has spent the past decade specializing in the evaluation of emerging healthcare opportunities. During his tenure, Pratumsuwan helped to form and incubate Rocket Pharmaceuticals, a clinical-stage biotechnology company where he currently serves on the board of directors. Prior to his career in asset management, he built his foundational scientific expertise through his formal higher education programs. His academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Biotechnology from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from McGill University. Today, Pratumsuwan maintains a primary investment focus on advancing clinical and commercial developments in oligonucleotide therapies, gene therapies, and gene editing technologies.
