Pinhas Buchris

Pinhas Buchris is a General Partner at State of Mind Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital firm based in Herzliyya, Israel. Before transitioning to the venture capital industry, he served as a Brigadier General in the Israel Defense Forces, where he commanded the elite intelligence divisions Unit 8200 and Unit 81. His corporate executive experience includes tenures as the Chief Executive Officer of BAZAN Group Oil Refineries, a partner at the private equity firm Apax Partners, and a special advisor to the Israeli Prime Minister. In 2015, Buchris co-founded State of Mind Ventures alongside Yuval Baharav, successfully raising two funds, including an initial $50 million vehicle that deployed $4 million into early startups like SpacePharma and Twiggle. The Technion alumnus currently focuses his investments on deep technology sectors, specifically targeting cybersecurity, aerospace, cloud infrastructure, and robotics.
