Pierre Horvilleur

Pierre Horvilleur is a Partner at Morro Ventures in San Juan, Puerto Rico, focusing on early-stage venture capital across Latin America and the Caribbean. Before joining the firm in May 2021, he served as a portfolio manager at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, managing a $20 billion emerging markets fund and establishing a $1.6 billion Frontier Markets Equity Fund. His background includes working as a fundamental research analyst at William Blair Investment Management and holding vice president roles in equity research sales at ING Financial Markets. Horvilleur earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University as a Toigo Fellow and holds a finance degree from the University of Florida. He currently directs initial seed and Series A allocations averaging $250,000 toward regional technology startups specializing in financial technology, software-as-a-service, and cloud infrastructure.
