Phyllis Whiteley

Phyllis Whiteley is a Venture Partner at Playground Global, investing in and building healthcare technology companies. She previously spent over 10 years at Roche as Vice President of Strategic Portfolio Management across the United States and Switzerland, and held a senior research immunology position at Merck. Whiteley also served as an Officer and Senior Vice President at Perlegen Sciences, and led multiple successful exits during her tenures at Wildcat Venture Partners and Mohr Davidow Ventures. She currently holds several board positions, including chair at BodyPort and director for Lassogen Therapeutics, Alydia Health, and Nalu Bio. She earned a PhD in Pharmacology and Immunology and a BA in Chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis. Her current focus centers on advancing personalized medicine, digital health, and therapeutics platforms to improve patient access and reduce healthcare costs.
