Phin Upham

Phin Upham is the Managing Partner at Haymaker Ventures and is based in Claremont, New Hampshire. He also serves as a Partner at Haymaker Growth and Bloodhound Partners, and currently sits on the board of directors for FLYR Labs. Prior to his current roles, Upham spent nearly a decade as a Managing Director at Thiel Capital, where he directed investments across the financial technology sector. His earlier career includes investment banking positions at Morgan Stanley, Rothschild, and Lazard, following his graduation with a bachelor's degree from Harvard University and both an MBA and PhD from the Wharton School. As an active angel and institutional investor, he has accumulated a track record comprising 33 total investments, 11 portfolio companies, and seven successful exits. Upham focuses primarily on funding early-stage and growth-stage financial services and fintech innovation.
