Philippe Mendels-Flandre

Philippe Mendels-Flandre is an investor at Angels Santé and the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Austral Dx, based in Paris, Île-de-France, France. He co-founded the deeptech startup Austral Dx in the autumn of 2021 in partnership with the Institut Laue-Langevin and CNRS to engineer a novel contactless cardio-pulmonary vibration mapping device. Through his concurrent role at Angels Santé, recognized as Europe's prominent business angel network for health startups, he executes seed-stage investments across the healthcare, medtech, biotech, and e-health sectors. His prior operational and strategic management experience includes serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Lysogène, alongside various leadership and advisory positions at Vaxxel, Elesta SpA, and Amicus Therapeutics. Mendels-Flandre currently focuses on leveraging his extensive professional background in medical device development and biotechnology to advance deeptech diagnostics and capitalize on early-stage health innovation.
