Philipp Petrescu

Philipp Petrescu is a Venture Partner at HOF Capital based in New York City, New York, where he focuses on sourcing early-stage investments in high-growth technology companies. Prior to assuming this position in 2023, he served as an investor at 500 Global and operated as a technology entrepreneur who guided multiple ventures to exit. Throughout his career, Petrescu has backed more than 50 startups across the enterprise software, artificial intelligence, and financial technology sectors, including an investment in UiPath prior to its 2021 initial public offering. He recently led a first-quarter 2025 investment in an xAI tools platform and frequently engages with international technology ecosystems, having spoken on market convergence at Web Summit 2024.
