Philipp Linkens

Dr. Philipp Linkens is a Principal on the Legal and Compliance team at Motive Partners, where he manages legal operations for the firm's early-stage investment arm, Motive Ventures. He assumed this position in February 2023 following Motive Partners' acquisition of his previous venture capital firm, embedded/capital. Prior to this transition, Linkens served as Head of Legal at finleap starting in 2017, overseeing corporate law matters and advising on significant portfolio exits, including the sale of Penta to Qonto and the majority acquisition of PAIR Finance by PollenStreet Capital. He began his legal career in 2010 at Taylor Wessing before moving to the corporate boutique Lambsdorff, and he holds a doctorate in business law from the University of Cologne. Linkens currently focuses on corporate law, portfolio management, and legal strategy for early-stage financial technology investments.
