Philip Koenig

Philip Koenig is the CEO and Co-founder of CommodityAI, a B2B operations software company based in the San Francisco Bay Area. A former commodity trader and operator, he established the enterprise in early 2024 alongside Chief Technology Officer Kyle Manuel Franz to address manual data entry and operational inefficiencies in the physical commodities supply chain. The six-person startup participated in the Y Combinator Winter 2024 accelerator batch and secured early financial backing from Rebel Fund, as well as the original founders of YouTube and Reddit. Under his executive leadership, the software platform utilizes artificial intelligence to automate document processing, shipment tracking, and inventory management across the $10 trillion global commodities industry. Koenig currently focuses on scaling corporate operations and deploying automation technology to modernize logistics and data management workflows for physical commodity trading businesses worldwide.
