Phil Morle is a Partner at Main Sequence Ventures in Australia, where he leads the firm's Venture Science program and sustainable food initiatives. Before joining the firm, he served as Chief Technology Officer at Kazaa and co-founded Pollenizer, an early venture studio where he helped scale over 30 businesses, including Spreets, which sold for $40 million AUD in 2010. In 2016, Morle designed the ON national deep tech accelerator for the Australian national science agency, CSIRO, to help commercialize institutional research. Through his current role, he has led the creation of and chairs several deep tech startups, including v2food, Samsara Eco, and Eden Brew, while holding director positions at Q-CTRL, Coviu Global, and Nourish Ingredients. His current investment focus centers on commercializing scientific breakthroughs in synthetic biology, alternative proteins, new materials, and advanced decarbonization technologies.
