Phil Ferneau

Phil Ferneau is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Borealis Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Hanover, New Hampshire. He directs seed and Series A investments typically ranging from $250,000 to $750,000, primarily targeting the healthcare, biotechnology, and digital health sectors. Since launching the firm's first fund in 2002 alongside partners like Jesse Devitte, Ferneau has helped oversee a portfolio that completed 40 investments and 10 exits over a 15-year period. A graduate of Dartmouth College and the Tuck School of Business, he frequently leverages his academic network to support regional entrepreneurs and previously facilitated the strategic spin-out of Building Ventures.
