Peyton Shields

Peyton Shields is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of The Interface, a technology startup focused on building foundational infrastructure for AI-native media. Prior to this role, he worked as a Quantitative Developer at Citadel, where he engineered real-time risk infrastructure and analytics systems for the firm's Commodities and Fixed Income divisions. During his tenure at the hedge fund, his technical responsibilities included developing low-latency extract, transform, and load pipelines and constructing complex market simulations. Shields completed both his undergraduate and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His academic research and coursework at the institution concentrated heavily on distributed architecture and embedded systems development. His career merges a strong foundation in high-performance quantitative engineering with a current focus on advancing artificial intelligence applications within the media sector.
