Peter Svennilson

Peter Svennilson is the Founder and Managing Partner of The Column Group, a biotechnology venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California. Since establishing the firm in 2007, he has overseen $3.5 billion in capital commitments and directed investments across 45 early-stage biotechnology companies. Before founding The Column Group, he served as the Managing Partner of Three Crowns Capital and worked as an Associate Managing Director for European Investment Banking Origination at Nomura. His extensive investment track record includes serving as Chairman of Aragon Pharmaceuticals until its 2013 acquisition by Johnson and Johnson, and Chairman of Seragon Pharmaceuticals prior to its 2014 sale to Genentech. With over 35 years of global finance experience and an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics, Svennilson focuses primarily on early-stage biotechnology company creation and venture capital investments.
