Peter Lai

Peter Lai is a tech entrepreneur and product leader based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He earned a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, and cognitive science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2008 before entering the technology startup ecosystem. Lai subsequently co-founded and served as the Chief Technology Officer of Crocodoc, a document collaboration platform that participated in the Y Combinator Winter 2010 batch. Under his technical leadership, the software scaled to support millions of users before being acquired by Box for $100 million in 2013. Following the acquisition, he joined expense management platform Emburse as an early engineer, contributing to the core product development that helped drive the company toward its eventual unicorn valuation.
