Peter Hsing

Peter Hsing was a venture capitalist and the co-founder of Merus Capital based in Palo Alto, California, prior to his passing at age 51 in 2020. He established the early-stage software investment firm in 2008, focusing on seed and Series A funding rounds for technology startups. Before launching Merus Capital, Hsing held corporate development and strategy positions at Microsoft and worked in investment banking at JPMorgan in Hong Kong. He earned his Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School in 1997 and subsequently built a career centered on technology investments. At his firm, he developed the MCx resource program to provide operational mentorship for portfolio companies scaling from their initial funding stages.
