Peter Gutrich

Peter S. Gutrich served as a Managing Director at Morgan Creek Capital Management LLC, an alternative investment management firm based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Working alongside the firm's founder and chief executive officer Mark W. Yusko, he specialized in implementing the endowment model of investing for institutional clients. Prior to his tenure at Morgan Creek, he co-founded Vintage Partners Holdings in 1996, where he spent 12 years directing proprietary investments, corporate advisory services, and capital fundraising operations. Throughout his career in the financial sector, his portfolio management expertise spanned a broad spectrum of alternative asset classes, including private equity, real assets, venture capital, and emerging digital assets. Until his passing in the first quarter of 2015, Gutrich maintained a primary focus on optimizing long-term asset allocation and capturing liquidity premiums across complex global financial markets.
