Peter Goldberg

Peter Goldberg is the Founder and Partner of PLG Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Washington, D.C. Through PLG Ventures, he provides pre-seed and seed capital to technology-enabled startups, writing initial checks of up to $250,000 for companies that are often pre-product and pre-revenue. Before transitioning to venture capital, Goldberg served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of AmTrust Bank, where he managed approximately $20 billion in assets, oversaw more than $200 billion in loan originations, and led a workforce of over 3,000 employees. He holds an economics degree from The Ohio State University, an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University, and completed the INSEAD International Executive Leadership Programme. Today, his current focus centers on supporting early-stage founders by leveraging his executive background to develop their leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and scalable organizational cultures.
