Peter Ashley

Peter Ashley is the Managing Partner at Indicator Ventures, based in San Francisco, California. Before assuming this position in 2023, he served as an operating partner at Norwest Venture Partners and held the title of Vice President of Finance at Gainsight. Throughout his career, he has executed early stage investments in more than 20 enterprise software and artificial intelligence companies, including recognizable entities like Gong and QuotaPath. Most recently, he led a Q1 2025 investment in the AI sales platform SKILD and spoke on scaling operations at the SaaStr Annual 2024 conference. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and coauthored the publication "The Art of Startup Fundraising." His current focus centers on leading seed and Series A funding rounds for B2B software startups while advising founders on growth strategies.
