Pete Solvik

Pete Solvik is the co-founder and Managing Director of Jackson Square Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before entering venture capital, he spent eleven years as an IT executive at Apple and served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Cisco Systems, overseeing IT operations during a period of 100x growth to $20 billion in revenue. Following his tenure as a Managing Director at Sigma Partners, Solvik launched Jackson Square Ventures, which raised an oversubscribed $193 million third fund. His portfolio includes early-stage backing for technology companies like DocuSign and UpWork, contributing to a firm track record where six of fifty-nine investments achieved valuations exceeding $1 billion. Solvik currently focuses on seed and Series A investments across B2B software, enterprise SaaS, and AI-native marketplace startups.
