Pete Perlegos

Pete Perlegos is an active angel investor and the former Chief Executive Officer of Momentum Venture Group based in Palo Alto, California. Throughout his career in the semiconductor and hardware sectors, he has co-founded and scaled multiple deep tech companies, leading to more than five successful exits. His entrepreneurial tenure includes serving as Co-Founder and CEO of AlpLight, which was acquired by Finisar, an entity later purchased for $3.9 billion, and Co-Founder and Chairman of Bitstream, later acquired by Monotype Imaging. Prior to these ventures, he held various executive positions and earned both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley, alongside a Juris Doctor degree. Today, his primary professional focus remains on advising early-stage startups and investing across the photonics, semiconductor, and enterprise software markets.
