Pete Mathias

Pete Mathias currently serves as a Principal at Alumni Ventures, a venture capital firm where he specializes in executing global startup investments across a variety of emerging technology sectors. Before joining his current firm, he held the position of Senior Director at the corporate venture capital arm of Bertelsmann, the multinational media, services, and education conglomerate. In this previous capacity, he was responsible for sourcing and evaluating deals for a corporate investment vehicle that managed more than $1.5 billion in total assets. His geographic investment mandate was highly international, requiring him to identify, fund, and support high-potential technology companies operating throughout the European Union, China, and the United States.
