Pete Buhl is a serial entrepreneur, active angel investor, and startup advisor based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Throughout his extensive operational career, he has co-founded at least three venture-backed technology companies that successfully achieved corporate exits. Most notably, he served as a co-founder of the travel search platform Hipmunk, which was ultimately acquired by SAP Concur, as well as the mapping technology startup Lumatic. Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Buhl earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration, specifically concentrating in Accounting and Operations Research, from the University of California, Berkeley. He currently leverages his scaling expertise to advise early-stage ventures, including multiple companies affiliated with the Y Combinator accelerator program. His current professional focus centers on supporting emerging software-as-a-service and travel technology startups through strategic capital investments and dedicated operational guidance.
