Perry Nisen

Perry Nisen is the Chief Executive Officer of Quanta Therapeutics and an Executive Advisor at Sofinnova Investments, based in San Francisco, California. He assumed leadership of Quanta in July 2021, guiding the biopharmaceutical company through a $60 million Series C funding round. Previously, Nisen served as Chief Executive Officer of the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute and held senior executive positions at GlaxoSmithKline, including Senior Vice President of Science and Innovation. At GlaxoSmithKline, he directed the oncology division that was subsequently acquired by Novartis for more than $16 billion. Earlier in his career, he was the Divisional Vice President of Cancer Research at Abbott Laboratories and earned his medical and doctoral degrees from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His career focuses on advancing clinical development and drug discovery across oncology, neuroscience, and immunology.
