Penny Chen

Penny Chen is the Co-Founder and CEO of Pax AI, an artificial intelligence logistics startup based in the United States. Before launching the company, she earned a PhD in algorithmic design from MIT and worked as a research scientist at Amazon and Flexport. In these previous corporate roles, she developed complex algorithms for pricing, forecasting, fulfillment, and capacity planning to optimize workflows and reduce supply chain costs. Under her executive leadership, Pax AI participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2024 batch and scaled its operations to a team of seven employees. The enterprise recently surpassed $1 million in booking revenue within its first year of commercial operation following its initial seed funding round. Chen currently focuses on leveraging statistical machine learning models to automate complex duty drawback tariff refunds for global retailers and manufacturers.
