Pedro Mendonça

Pedro Mendonça is a Partner and Co-founder at 1616 Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm he helped establish alongside his partner Alex in 2022. Before transitioning to venture capital, he held various operational and marketing leadership roles, including serving as Chief Operating Officer at the venture-backed wellness startup Ânimo. His corporate experience encompasses product and partner marketing at DocuSign, as well as sales and marketing positions at Wellhub, formerly known as Gympass, and AMBEV. A Fundação Estudar scholarship recipient, Mendonça earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Studies from Yale University and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. He currently focuses on investing in early-stage B2B technology startups like OYA CARE, leveraging his operational background to bridge capital between the North American and South American startup ecosystems.
