Pavlos Pavlakis

Pavlos Pavlakis is a Principal at Venturefriends based in Athens, Attica, Greece, where he leads early-stage technology investments across Southeast Europe. Before joining the venture firm in 2022, he served as an Investment Director at Marathon Venture Capital and worked as an engineer at Siemens. Throughout his venture capital career, Pavlakis has been involved in more than 20 investments, including backing the artificial intelligence startup ChainReact in 2024 and supporting the exited portfolio company Deep Sea. He holds a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from Imperial College London and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. Additionally, he frequently shares industry insights as a speaker at events like Athens Tech Week. His current focus centers on early-stage opportunities within the fintech, SaaS, healthtech, and deep tech sectors.
