Paul Stamas

Paul Stamas is a Managing Director and the Global Head of Financial Services at General Atlantic, based in New York. Since joining the growth equity firm in 2010, he has overseen investments across financial technology and payments while also chairing the Global Growth Equity Portfolio Committee. Before his current role, he worked as an Associate at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe and served as an Investment Banking Analyst within the Consumer Retail Group at Goldman Sachs. He holds a BSE in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University, graduating summa cum laude, and an MBA from Harvard Business School as a Baker Scholar. Named a Top 40 Under 40 Growth Investor by GrowthCap in 2016, his portfolio includes board positions at Insurity and OptionsHouse alongside transactions with Align Networks, MedExpress, and Santander Asset Management.
