Paul Reeder

Paul Reeder is a Boston hedge fund manager who serves as President and Founder of PAR Capital Management Inc and PAR Capital Ventures LLC. Before establishing his primary investment firm in 1990, he built his early financial career working as an airline analyst at Loomis Sayles and Company. Following the 2016 retirement of co-manager Edward Shapiro, Reeder became the sole manager of the firm, which currently oversees nearly three billion dollars in total assets. His portfolio has generated an impressive 45 percent gain since January 2016, driven by significant equity positions in Expedia Inc, where the fund holds over seven million shares, Alaska Air Group, and Global Eagle Entertainment. Reeder maintains a concentrated investment focus on the industrials, consumer cyclical, and technology sectors while directing his philanthropic foundation's multimillion-dollar grants toward education and youth development initiatives.
