Paul Lu

Paul Lu is a Managing Director at RTW Investments, driving partnering, business development, and strategic transactions for the firm and portfolio companies like JiXing Pharmaceuticals and Yarrow Biotechnology. Previously, he served as Global Head of Business Development and Alliances at Hansoh Pharma, led global business development at Hengrui Medicine, and advised on mergers and acquisitions within Lazard's healthcare investment banking group. He also co-founded The Biotechnology and Life Sciences Advising Group, building a career focused on bridging pharmaceutical innovation with global investments through complex cross-border licensing agreements and strategic partnerships. Lu earned his Master of Business Administration as a Robert S. Kaplan Life Sciences Fellow at Harvard Business School, and he holds a doctorate in neuroscience from Washington University in St. Louis. He completed his bachelor's degree in biological sciences and chemistry at the University of Waikato.
