Patrick Lor

Patrick Lor is the Managing Partner at Panache Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital firm, and is currently based in Calgary, Alberta. Before transitioning to venture capital, he co-founded iStockphoto, a digital microstock photography agency that was acquired by Getty Images for $50 million in 2006. He later served as the Head of North American Operations for Fotolia, a media platform that was eventually purchased by Adobe, and co-founded the stock footage company Dissolve. In addition to his corporate ventures, he has been an active angel investor and mentor within the 500 Startups network. Lor holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Calgary. His current professional focus centers on providing early-stage funding and strategic growth support to emerging technology startups across the Canadian market.
