Patrick Eggen

Patrick Eggen is the Founding General Partner at Counterpart Ventures, an independent venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California. Prior to co-founding Counterpart, he served as the Managing Director of Qualcomm Ventures North America, where he managed approximately $500 million in assets, founded the Global Early Stage Fund, and directed all United States investments. During his 15-year tenure at Qualcomm, Eggen executed over 100 transactions and drove more than 30 exits, leading early investments in prominent technology companies such as Zoom and Cruise Automation. Drawing on his prior background in investment banking, he recently collaborated with Silicon Valley Bank to publish the "State of CVC 2024" report analyzing corporate venture capital trends. Eggen currently focuses his investment strategy on Series A opportunities across B2B software-as-a-service, mobility, and marketplace technologies targeting large enterprise markets.
