Patrick Chang

Patrick Chang is the Founder and Managing Partner of Dispersion Capital, an early-stage venture capital fund focused on decentralized infrastructure. Prior to launching his own firm, he held senior leadership and investment roles at Samsung Next Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, and Foundation Capital. He began his professional career in technology investment banking and mergers and acquisitions at Lehman Brothers and Bank of America Merrill Lynch, accumulating nearly two decades of experience in infrastructure software and web3. Since 2014, Chang has successfully backed fourteen inception-stage technology startups that eventually reached unicorn valuations, alongside three companies that secured large acquisitions. His institutional investment portfolio includes prominent blockchain and decentralized technology projects such as Helium, Alchemy, Blockstack, and Dapper Labs. Today, his primary professional focus remains on funding disruptive infrastructure technologies across edge computing, artificial intelligence, and crypto-economics.
