Patrick Baeuerle

Patrick A. Baeuerle is an Executive Partner at MPM Capital and Acting Chief Scientific Officer of Biologics at Cullinan Oncology, based in Munich, Germany. Before joining MPM Capital in 2015, he served as Chief Scientific Officer at Micromet from 1998 until its €1.16 billion acquisition by Amgen in 2012, subsequently becoming Vice President of Research at Amgen. As an entrepreneur, he has co-founded six portfolio companies, including Harpoon Therapeutics, Aktis Oncology, and Cullinan Oncology, with three completing initial public offerings on the NASDAQ. He holds advanced degrees from the University of Konstanz and LMU Munich, authoring over 245 scientific papers that have accumulated more than 75,000 citations with an H-index of 132. His current focus centers on biotech venture capital and advancing oncology immunotherapies, specifically the development of bispecific T-cell engaging antibodies for cancer treatment.
