Patricia Saenz

Patricia Saenz is the Founder and Managing Partner at EWA Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Colombia. Prior to establishing EWA Capital, she spent over nine years as a venture capital fund manager at Mountain Nazca and evaluated more than 800 investment opportunities across Latin America. Throughout her 15-year career in the financial sector, Saenz has facilitated over $100 million in foreign investments and secured board positions at prominent organizations including Colcapital and A2censo. Under her leadership, EWA Capital achieved a full fund return through the successful 2021 exit of Platzi and built a portfolio featuring regional startups like 1DOC3, Sempli, and TPaga. Her current investment strategy focuses on early-stage technology companies in Latin America, with a specific mandate to allocate over 40% of capital to women-led businesses to drive economic development.
