Patricia Muoio

Patricia Muoio is a Partner at SineWave Ventures based in New York City, where she assesses emerging technologies and develops fund strategy for seed to Series B stage companies. Before transitioning to venture capital eight years ago, she served as a Senior Executive at the National Security Agency, acting as Chief of the Trusted Systems Research Group to lead cyber research initiatives. She also worked as the Science and Technology Lead for Cyber at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and spent 13 years directing Department of Defense research teams comprising over 100 technical personnel. Muoio holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Yale University and an undergraduate degree from Fordham University. Her current investment focus centers on bridging commercial cybersecurity innovation with public sector needs, specifically targeting resilient systems, cryptography, and secure data analytics.
