Pato Bichara

Pato Bichara is the CEO and Founder of Collective Academy and a Partner at Xochi Ventures, based in Mexico City, Mexico. Before launching his education technology company in 2015, he worked in venture capital at IGNIA and Polymath Ventures, and served as a consultant at Bain & Company. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and engineering degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Tecnológico de Monterrey. At Xochi Ventures, Bichara invests in Latin American startups across the financial technology, e-commerce, and logistics sectors, managing a portfolio that includes Bitso, Camino Financial, and Ignite, which was acquired in 2020. Recognized with the 2024 GCL Impact Award and membership in McKinsey & Company’s Consortium for Learning Innovation, his current focus remains on scaling alternative higher education and funding early-stage technology enterprises throughout Latin America.
