Pae Wu

Pae Wu is a General Partner at SOSV and the Chief Technology Officer at SOSV SF and IndieBio. With over 15 years of experience in emerging technologies, she previously served as the Scientific Director of Telefónica’s moonshot factory Alpha in Barcelona and as a Science Director at the US Office of Naval Research Global in Singapore. Earlier in her career, Wu worked as a technical consultant for DARPA after earning her PhD and BS in Electrical Engineering from Duke University and Princeton University, respectively. In her current capacity, she oversees portfolio management and technical oversight for startups addressing complex challenges such as the destruction of forever chemicals, advanced public safety sensors, and petroleum reduction. As an investor and technologist, Wu focuses her investments on deep tech solutions targeting national security, climate change, and planetary health.
