Padideh Kamali-Zare is the Founding CEO of Darmiyan, a biotechnology company developing artificial intelligence diagnostics for early brain health detection. She previously served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor and postdoctoral researcher at the NYU School of Medicine, where she collaborated with Professor Charles Nicholson on modeling brain tissue microstructure. After earning a PhD in Biological Physics from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2010, she was later recognized as a 2020 Fortune 40 Under 40 global healthcare leader and received the 2023 KTH Innovation Award. Under her leadership, Darmiyan secured funding from Y Combinator and Eisai, while its flagship product, BrainSee, received FDA breakthrough device designation in May 2021 alongside patents in the United States and Japan. Her current focus centers on commercializing data-driven medical technologies to improve the early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease.
