Peter Mobbs

Peter Mobbs is the Managing Partner at Five Sigma, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He oversees a portfolio of more than 20 companies and manages over $100 million in assets under management, recently closing the firm's $75 million second fund in March 2024. Prior to his current role, he co-founded and directed investments at Blackbird Ventures, following early operational positions at prominent technology companies including Canva and Atlassian. Mobbs earned a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the University of Sydney and has backed notable startups such as the human resources unicorn Culture Amp and the artificial intelligence startup Replicate. His current focus remains on leading seed and Series A investments across the enterprise software, artificial intelligence, fintech, and developer tools sectors within the United States and Australian markets.
