Owen Lozman

Owen Lozman is the Managing Partner at 55North, a specialized quantum technology venture capital firm based in Copenhagen, Denmark. He currently oversees a €300 million venture fund, which recently achieved a €134 million first close, targeting early-stage European startups across quantum computing, sensing, and communications. Previously, Lozman spent over seven years as Managing Director and Vice President at M Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Merck KGaA, where he managed a €1 billion deep-tech investment portfolio. During his tenure there, he successfully built a diverse portfolio of more than 25 startups and engaged with prominent industry players, including IonQ and Amazon Web Services. Holding a PhD in Physical Organic Chemistry and recognized as a four-time GCV Powerlister, his current professional focus centers on transitioning complex quantum innovations from laboratory research to global commercial markets.
