Ossama Hassanein

Ossama Hassanein is the Chairman of Rising Tide Funds and a board member of Bank of the West, based in San Francisco, California. Over a thirty-year career as an entrepreneur and venture capitalist, he has managed $1 billion across various international technology funds. He has led mezzanine financing for more than eighty Silicon Valley companies, backing notable technology enterprises such as Oracle and PMC Sierra. Additionally, Hassanein has served as the chairman or co-founder of seven digital communication startups operating across the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and France. He holds an MBA and an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, alongside an undergraduate BSc degree in the same field. His current professional focus remains on directing venture financing and strategic growth initiatives for early-stage digital communications and technology startups globally.
